Turns for Men in Salsa Dancing

This is Salsa Mia at Yuka Lounge on South Beach. You can find us on the web at salsamia.com. My name is Susan and this is Alex. We’re here to show you the basics of salsa. Now, what we’re going to work on is on an Exceeder for the men. What we’re going to do is we’re going to start from this position from our basic. Forward and back. Remember men, we’re not always going to turn the girl; we also have to turn ourselves. Be do our basic. Now, our turn is going to start as we go forward, okay. I’m going forward with the left, back with left, forward, switch hands, back, switch hands, and forward back. Once again, you’re going to go forward with the left, left, right, switch. From this point, you’re still looking at the girl. Now, you’re going to back with the right. Right, left, and switch. From this position, you back to your basic. So once again, it’s 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, forward and back.
