So when you paint you want to make sure that you wear painting clothes, because inevitably accidents will happen. This is my painter’s shirt; it’s what I wear. Also, when you paint you want to start with your ceilings first, then you want to do your walls, and then you want to do your trim. Our next step will be to cut in our ceiling. We’re painting our ceiling, our quarter trim, and our walls the same color. However, we’re going to roll this because it’s a faster way to paint. You want to cut this end because your roller isn’t going to get all the way up to here and here. You might have some white and Grey left. You just want to go in with a brush and paint it in like that. You want to give it a couple coats. Once you go around once, it should be dry enough to come back for a second time and re cut it in. The other thing is you want to make sure that you spend some money on a paintbrush because it’s going to do a lot better job for you and your coverage will be better. Also, when you’re choosing paint, you don’t want to get the cheapest paint at the store. Colors will end up bleeding through if you do. You want to get a high quality paint, and then you don’t have to depend so much on actually covering this with a kilts or an oil based over. We’re just going to go ahead and paint over this Grey and not cover it. Then of course, when we do the magenta color it will be dark as well because of the Grey so that will help. You also want to cut in on your trim when you’re doing this. Make sure you get ample paint on your paintbrush. Once this dries a little bit we’ll come back and do another coat and we’ll be ready to roll our walls.
