Healthy Cashew & Pumpkin Seed Veggie Smoothie Recipes
Hi! Nili Nathan with Expert Village. This next smoothie is using cashews and pumpkin seeds. It’s very good for those that are concerned with their prostate. Pumpkins seeds have been known to be very healthy for the prostate. For the base, I’m going to start off with some water. This is fresh bottled water; about a cup to a cup and half. I soaked these cashews for a little under 2 hours in fresh bottled water; I don’t use tap water. Then I drain it. This is also the same ideas with the almonds that we did previously, but a lot of people don’t like almonds so cashews is a good alternative; it’s very delicious. If you use less water, you can make a nice cashew cream to use on top of fruits and cereals as a yummy treat. Let me make this first. You know what I’m going to use a pinch of my Celtic sea salt in there. I’ll first blend up my base in my vita mix here. Okay, now once you have your cashew milk, which remember this is nondairy. See how frosty it is in there. You can drink this alone or you can be creative. We can add some coconut in it for people who like coconuts. Oh yes, our pumpkin seeds, raw pumpkin seeds, and I used raw cashews by the way. Just a handful. The men in your life will appreciate that, hopefully. A little agave in here, and I’m going to use some kale so we can get our greens. If you want you can add an apple or strawberries. Remember, I keep the seeds because the seeds are also very important for us. This vita mix will blend everything up to a nice liquid and you don’t have to throw away the pulp, which is great. That’s it. Since is this is very beneficial for the men in our lives, you want to pour it in a beer mug. There you go.
