Hello! I’m Amelia and today we’re talking about building bridal bouquets. The next bouquet we’re going to do is a standard hand tied bouquet. Now, the hand tied bouquet, this is a little different than the last one we did. It’s not going to be a pageant style. In this case, it’s going to be held directly upright. You want to start out by choosing a flower that’s going to be the center of the bouquet, something that’s kind of symmetric and stands up pretty tall and straight. I think I’m going to use this one and then you’ll build around it just by holding on to it. Here again, we’re using a variety of rose colors and so you just want to try and disperse the colors evenly so you don’t end up with a patch of something different. So you can pull off lower greenery as you go around. You’re kind of building a, I think of it as almost a ball as you go, so you think about the 3 dimensional shape of it as you’re moving away. Again, you want to have all the flowers right up against each other in a really rich arrangement that’s just flowers, flowers, flowers. You might have to switch hands periodically so that you can get your flowers to disperse evenly. It’s good to sometimes hold it down below you so you can see how symmetric your arrangement’s looking. I realize I need to pull that bright pink one down a little bit. Okay, so there you are, it’s arranged and the next step is to wire it.
