The Ajay for Advanced Salsa Dancing

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Susan and this is Alex. We’re here at Yuka Lounge with Salsa Mia on South Beach, and we’re here to teach you advanced salsa. Now we’re going to work on a step that’s called Ajay. This is a really smooth step for the guy and he makes the girl do a really nice turn at the end, which is an inside turn. Here is how it’s going to look like. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, cross body lead and stop. So then what we’re going to do men is we’re going to make the girl do an inside turn, but this time we’re going to keep our left down. 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Now everything here is involved with your left hand. The first one we’re going to do for ourselves is an inside turn cross. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, keeping our right hand down. Once we get to this position, on 1 we’re going to turn to the girl, letting go of her right hand. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, cross body lead.
