Arm Triangle Jiu Jitsu Technique

Hello! I’m Marc Zee from Arizona Center of mixed martial arts, here on behalf of expertvillage.com. I’m here to demonstrate the arm triangle. Go ahead guys. Alright, time. Come here. Ok, stand up please. What the arm triangle is I’m utilizing his arm to cut off this side of the blood flow to the brain. I’m using my arm, which is going to cut off the blood flow to the other side of the brain. We’re coming here across the throat, my arm is reaching as deep as possible, I’m going to grab onto my bicep. I’m either going to grab his forehead or to my ear and ___. One more time. This arm right here is coming across the throat. If it comes across the chin, it’s not going to choke him the it needs to do, so I need to get it across the throat as deep as possible. I need to reach as tight as possible to get around the other side of the throat to secure a tight hold. I’m grabbing as deep onto the bicep as possible, reaching down and giving my friend a hug. Alright, come here for a second. From the bottom of the guard, where he’s utilizing the guard position. This is a position he can attack from. The guy on top is showing poor posture. Poor posture is when he’s leaning forward, as you see right here. What he’s going to do is he’s going to shuck this arm across his throat, cutting off the blood supply to this side of the neck. His arm, on the other side, is cutting off the blood supply to the other side of his throat. He’s going to reach through, grab his bicep. This hand is going to come back, answer the telephone, touch his ear, finish with a choke. Let me have you guys turn with your head facing this way. Head right here. There you go. He has poor posture, he’s leaning forward. He’s going to shuck the arm across the throat. He’s going to reach across this side of the throat. You notice, this arm is cutting off this side; this arm is cutting off this side. He’s going to reach through as tight as he can to grab his bicep. He’s going to reach up to his ear and he’s going to squeeze as tight as he can, finishing with a blood choke. That’s the arm triangle.
