Preparing to Make Corn on the Cob
Hi! I'm Louis Ortiz on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to show you how to break down and clean a cob of corn. The reason we are going through the trouble to do this is because fresh shucked corn is a really great treat as far as that goes. Can corn tends to be easier to prepare and this and that but the flavor that you get out of the milk or juice rather that come off the kernels. Once you've taken them off the cobs, it is just excellent. It is a great addition to add to other vegetables as a side dish. So we are going to go ahead and pull the shucks off of the side of this guy and we've got a nice pretty cob of corn here actually. Once we've gotten those pulled down, we can go ahead and break that off. Okay. Off with him. We are just going to kind of peel off the hair here and I'll rinse this under the sink. We are going to go ahead and take off the end that was exposed so we don't want to eat that. That's gone and there's our beautiful cob of corn. I am going to go ahead and rinse this in the sink and then I will show you how to take the kernels off with Semitar knife here. We'll be right back.
