Thank you again for a helpful video and pointing out ways to make children feel involved and important. Many women want to work from home to spend more time with their children only to find work takes over and the children often feel like they have to compete with the business as if it was just another sibling. Jacqueline clearly understands the importance of setting boundaries for children, but also ways for including them in your space.

Creating a Kid Friendly Home Based Business Office
Hello! I'm Jacqueline on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip I will be talking about setting an office space that is kid friendly. Our family's office space is a multi purpose room; it has to be. We only have so many square feet of living space and many things to make room for. In our office space, we have a comfy couch, a TV set up with DVD and VCR and Play Station. We let the kids play DDR, dance dance revolution in our office when it is not being used by us. This way they feel that this room is not totally off limits but they understand the difference between their use of this space and our use of this space. They will know the difference between their use of this space and our use of this space. They will know the difference if you tell them and they will love taking turns. If you allow your children to get on-line, set them up with their own user account and profile, so when it's their turn to use the office, they feel like they are included. They learn how to share and take turns. Just to make sure you know the website that they visit.
