Ordering Your Hand in the Game of Spades
Hi, my name is Dan Kimbrough on behalf of expertvillage.com, we are going to discuss how to properly order you hand for a game of spades. Now as you know in the game of spades you follow suit so the easies way to organize your hand is by suit. I like to follow the red, black, red, black order, as you could see here I have my hearts, my clubs, a diamond and my spades. This way when looking at my hand I could quickly look down and know where my hands are located. The reason this helps is you don't want to renig. Renig is when you don't follow suit and you can. Now, once this diamond is gone I could cut with any other card that I want to but as long as that diamond is there I have to play a diamond, the diamonds are lead. What you don't want to have happen is you look in your hands diamonds are lead and you have your hand completely out of order. Such as this here and you go to grab the diamond and you don't see it. Doing it and having it as ramble and you don't know where the diamond is. You may look down and go oh these are hearts I don't have to worry about it and you may get caught renigging. Again, red, black, red, black, I always go with hearts, clubs, diamonds, spades, I have no clue why it is just something I have always done and that way when you look in your hand it is very easy to know where everything is.
