How to Make a Pipe Cleaner Dinosaur

Hi this is Andrew Jenkins on behalf of expertvillage.com. Now in this clip I'm going to be telling you about pipe cleaner in your craft specifically how to make a nice little dinosaur this one is the brontosaurs but you could miss it up have all sort of fun with it. This one is probably based on the coil method of doing pipe cleaner crafts. We got to have a couple different size coils. First off we need to take 4 of the coils 4 of the pipe cleaners we are going to use and twist them all together. Here I have done 3 of them. I just go ahead and put this last one on. By joining a inch above where they end and coiling that inch down both sides. You are going to loose a little bit of length but you are going to want a coil that is a lot longer then what you would traditionally have. Now we got this big long one. I'm going to wrap most of it around a pencil. I'm going to grab actually both ends of the two pipe cleaners around the pencil and leaving two pipe cleaner in the middle that I would wrap around something thicker. I got a highlighter here for that. You could use any sort of marker a sharpie marker will work great. If you got a rolling pen that would work well or if you pinch you could actually use your finger which is a little thicker then a pencil. So I got these two these are going to serve as the neck and the tail of the brontosaurs and then I'm going to take the middle part and go around my highlighter and that is going to give us the body. It need to be a little bit thicker. So once that we got that I'm going to slide it off and we got that sitting there if you want to crimp it together you could do that to give it a little bit more of a shape and you could pull out the tail. If you want that to come out a little bit more. Then the hardest part of this it is not to hard but you got to get the hang of it is making the legs. You take one pipe cleaner for each set of legs, bend it in the middle, and then about a inch about the bend start wrapping it around the pencil. Just wrap like this and wrap the same thing with the other end. Once you got that bend them down. Pull them out so it has something to stand on and take your brontosaurs. Put the fold right over there. Give it a little twist to keep on there and point the legs down and you got them pointing right like that. Of course you want to add little goggle eyes to the top of it that is fine. Do the same thing with the other set of legs and you end up with something that looks kind of like this.
