How to Play Ambient Beats on Drums

Hi! My name is Ken Marcou and I’m going to show you an example of an ambient beat. These are used in say a bridge section or an introduction section of a song, typically a more ambient song, the example I’m going to play is from an introduction of a song and it’s an example of the way to use your drum kit in a way that’s all but a typical so here we go…so this is a basic beat you could of played it as a straight beat but it would have the wrong type of mood, this is the way they get a different mood. I’m going to show you one more example which is an example of a bridge section of a song and this is a little bit more busy, a little bit more you know kind of filled up and here we go…
