How to Hit a Pitch Shot in Golf

Hello! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Bryan Pemberton from the Reserve at Spanos Park and today we are going to talk a little bit about short gaming it; how we actually hit and execute what we call pit shots and they are actually probably 20 to 30 yards from your target or from the green. Actually, we will show you how to do that. Okay we are talking about pitches here and again this is about a 20 to 30 yard shot and what we will talk about here is how you line up and how you can set up to hit a pitch shot. One of the differences between a pitch shot and chip shot is basically you use a little bit more body in a pitch shot. It is going to be typically a little bit lower and run a little bit farther. You are going to get a little bit more body involved rather than handsy but it is more of a small miniature swing of your full swing. So when we sit up to this we are actually going to sit our body up slightly over; our feet will be slightly open. Our shoulders will be pretty much down the line to our target. We are going to be a little bit slightly open. Again what we want to see is we want to see just a good fluid motion and again a lot more of body hitting it rather than a real flippy risky shot.
