Common Sense Auto Theft Prevention Tips for Classic Car Owners

Hi! I'm George Stonebrook for Expert Village here talking to you today about preventing theft to your vintage car. Some of the things you can do actually are common sense things. You can talk about a lot of different ways to prevent your car from being stolen but if you don't take precautions of the most seemingly insignificant kind, you will find yourself looking at bigger problems. The easiest thing and most effective thing you can do is taking the keys from the ignition; that's the easiest and most effective thing. A lot of times cars are taken because keys are left in the ignition. They are easier to take. Therefore if you just take that temptation out of arms way, there will be other issues to follow. Another thing you want to keep in mind is rolling up your windows and locking your doors. But you should do that when you are on the outside of the car because locking yourself inside the car has a tendency to make it difficult. Keep your car in a well lit area especially if it is unattended for long periods of time. Be mindful of where you park your car. Don't leave anything out in the open; perhaps any documents are any cell phones or any kind of memorabilia that you feel is valuable as well. Keep those items out of reach, out of watch and out of sight.
