First Steps for Making Scrambled Eggs
Hi! I'm Louis Ortiz on behalf of Expert Village and today I am going to show you how to scramble eggs. Yes, there is a right and wrong way. I've got a small bowl and I am going to break a couple of eggs into it; careful not to have any shell fall in there so we don't have crunchy scrambled eggs. I've got a little bit of low fat milk here and I am just going to dribble a little bit of that in there with the eggs because it adds a little element of richness flavor as far as that goes and dairy products usually go together. You could use heavy whipping cream even if you wanted. You could use whole milk whichever you prefer. Plus I think it gives them a nice even color. So I've got a wire whisk here and this has thinner whisk on it so it is a little bit easier to beat the eggs. Some wire whisks have a real thick strands on them and those are usually made for sauces and such. For eggs, I like to use the thinner one, so we are just going to beat these eggs. What you are looking for like a consistency scrambled egg or any recipe, baking recipe for pastries and things like that even, is just one nice even color so that you know the yellows and the whites have all blended together and there is not any spaces of clear material inside of that from the white of the egg. Again, I said the dairy products are going to help facilitate this so that we can achieve one smooth consistent color, so that we know it has been mixed properly. This is very helpful also for omelets which we'll show you in another video. You use the exact same procedure to be honest with you for the omelets and the scrambled eggs. Okay, so that's done. As you can see hopefully against the black background there that we've got even color there and we are ready to scramble our eggs.
