This is where the most common questions that people ask me, is it okay to refill toner cartridges and are they as good, do they last as long? The answer to that is every manufacturer is different, first I’m going to talk a little bit about inkjet machines, ink formulations are different for different companies there’s no single ink configuration that will work in all printers but there are companies that sell a universal refill kit, my experiences been that these do not work and I don’t recommend that you use them, they can be refilled but it needs to be done by professionals who have access to the professional quality inks and toners needed in the machines. On your film machines the film cannot be reused it has to be purchased new every time, it’s a little bit less expensive than ink on the inkjets but it’s more expensive than the laser machines. Now we’re going to talk about laser refills, for the most part almost all laser machines can refill the toner this is good because it saves you money and saves the environment instead of throwing these things away when we’re done with them we reuse them over and over again and they last much longer. It’s also much more economical they can be refilled often for half the price of a new one however, this is not something you can do yourself there is maintenance involved in the cartridges which unless you’re trained professional you should not do. So once again if you do wish to purchase recharge cartridges don’t try to do it yourself leave this to the professionals, “hey doctor I’ll remove my own appendix!”
