Hi! I’m Mark with All Brand Copiers Laser Printers and Fax, on behalf of expertvillage.com. I’m here to talk to you a little bit today about fax machines. Fax machines have been around since the early 70’s and they allow us to transmit documents from where we are to anywhere in the world using only the phone lines. A fax machine is basically two machines in one, the first part of the fax machine is the scanner it scans documents and digitizes them into a format that can be read and understood by other fax machines. The second part is the printer this uses various types of media to print the documents out in a manner that they can be used rather they’ll read, rather they’ll be signed whatever is necessary at the other end of the process. Fax machines use various media including inkjet, laser, coded paper and also film and we’re going to talk about some of those media a little later on.
