You're talking about pivoting the foot and hips yet you're just throwing your arms and shoulders almost in a windmill fashion. Since you're not as advanced as you probably think you are, you might want to slow it down and actually throw each punch with perfect technique. step into the jab, rotate and "sit" into the cross, then for the hook shift your weight to your back leg and simultaneously pivot on the ball of the lead foot, lead heel turned out and slightly elevated.

Jab Cross Hook Cross Combination in Advanced Kickboxing

Hi, I’m Danny Hawk at Normandy Gym in Miami Beach, Florida. And also owner of Hawk’ s Fight Wear. You can reach us at hawksfightwear.com. I’m going to demonstrate an advanced kickboxing combination using the hands now. Advanced kickboxing combination using the hands only, this is the jab cross hook cross combination. You jab, then you cross – come with the hook, back with the straight. Pivoting the foot, pivoting the hip and here we go. Very lethal combination, if blown quickly, as you can see it will work you as well. So remember to be in that boxing stance, left foot forward, right foot back, hands are up – always looking at your opponent. Jab, cross, quick up over the top, hook then back across– making sure the pivot is there. And that’s another advanced move.
