How to Load Samples on an Akai MPC 2000XL Drum Machine

Hi, I’m Amir from Precision Audio Productions and on behalf of Expert Village we’re going to talk about loading samples on a MPC 2000XL. First thing you have to do is put in your medium my zip disk, which I have my drums on, you go to shift 3, which is load, open up your folder, go to your folder, press open. I’m going to load some claps, so here we are, I hit claps, go back over to your file and press do it. If you want you can preview the file, then you’ll assign it to a pad or you can not assign it to a pad, we’re going to assign to this pad right here and if you want to keep that, press keep. If you want to discard, then press discard and we’re going to keep that one, go back to the main screen and we have our file on that pad, have our clap.
