Ballet Dancing Attitude Pointers

Hi! My name is Connie Hale and thanks for joining me here at expertvillage.com. Let's move on to attitude. Attitude is simply bending the leg with the arabesque. So I am going to turn backwards a little bit here. If we could see arabesque, attitude simply bends in. You want to make sure knee stays up. Then face other way, attitude front. We have arabesque into attitude. I am going to lean on the wall a second for balance. You can see how my knee stays flat. All of this is if you are resting it on a table. So we go from arabesque to attitude. Thanks for learning arabesque and attitude. Today we are learning a neoclassical ballet or classic ballet as it was learned. The style that I teach and learn is a Russian style. There are many different styles but we use a Russian. Russian is best to be used for beginners and young children. It is a simpler technique to use. It is also the type that can be seen in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. Ballet if you are seriously interested in taking ballet or working out just to keep your body in shape; adult or children, we will take any age here at cynergy dance. We are located on Thousand Oaks in San Antonio. You can visit us on line at www.cynergydance.com. You can see a schedule of all the classes we have available for all the ages. If you are seriously interested in competing on a professional level with ballet, you can see what is happening at www.talentexplosion.net; will be coming to your area soon with national talent competition. Thanks guys! We'll see you again at expert village.
