Using Mixer Effects While DJing
Hey this is DJ Brady again on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. In this clip, I’m going to demonstrate some of the effects that might come with a mixer. Let’s start with the delay, we can adjust the parameter of the delay and then turn it on, as you can here I’ve turned the delay on. Now I can effect the speed of the delay down to a half of a beat or back up to a whole beat. Also, you have echo, which you can play with right when I turn this off, it fades out, it doesn’t fade out. You have echo, turn that off. Use flander, make it a long time or a very short time. Turn that off, reverb; make it a big hall or a small room. You can change your pitch, low frequency, but its fun with voices, also you have BPM. As I said earlier about counting beats per minute, you can also use an automatic beat counter, you’ll notice up here, its a hundred and thirty-seven beats a minute.
