Preparing Your Voice for an On Stage Performance

My name is Dave Jackal and I am going to give you some advice on things to do before a show when you are performing. You want to take extra, extra care of your voice. Do not shout, do not yell I'd say for the entire day before your performance. Make sure you speak softly, you want to preserve your voice and then right before the show, you are going to want to do some warm-ups. So if you get a chance to go somewhere secluded, sometimes even the bathroom is fine, take your guitar with you and strum out chords and sing along. Do really simple things like this. You can practice your vibrato; try moving up to higher chords. See how high you can get. It is very important to warm up your voice because your range will expand as you practice more and more. Now you are going to hit a point where you can't go any higher. That is when you want to practicem so do a little something like this. It will sound funny and people in the back may think you are crazy but it is much better to figure the stuff out before you get on stage. You do not want to go on stage without having warmed up first.
