Coconut Mango Shake Recipe

Next we’re going to be making a coconut mango shake that Lisa’s going to demonstrate. What ingredients do we need to get started? Very nice and easy, we have some coconut milk, bananas, some frozen mangos nice and easy too because you know how much of a pain it is to buy the right mangos and cut those up, then I’ve made some honey water it’s very simple it’s just a little water bring it so it’s nice and warm add some honey to it and that gets it nice and sweet and it’s much more easy to mix than regular honey. Now where do you get coconut milk? You can kind of get coconut milk at any supermarket I mean virtually it’s everywhere and it’s very simple to pick up. Why do you use coconut milk instead of regular milk? The reason why I use a coconut milk besides the fact that it does add a nice good flavor to the drink and the fact that coconut is a very good fat and what it does, it’s a saturated fat it comes from the grounds, yes it is a saturated fat which a lot of people in the past have been so scared of saturated fat but this fat actually helps with the arteries, it helps you keep clean, it’s almost antibacterial. Is it a mono or a poly? It is mono, okay it’s a mono as we know that’s the good fat, alright there’s no sugars in here and the calories aren’t that bad 50 calories per serving of a cup, so everyone can enjoy this and we’ll be using only half a banana maybe about half a cup to a cup of mangos and maybe a quarter cup of the honey water. And you said half of the can of coconut milk? Yeah about a cup so there’s usually around two cups in here, but we can always use fresh coconut milk right? You could if you wanted to it’s whatever’s on hand I usually just use the can cause it’s easier and I can actually stock up on it in my cabinets so that’s just easier for me.
