Tips for Applying Eye Makeup

Thank for joining me at expertvillage.com. Hi I'm Yvette Parish, and this is my beautiful model Tam Welton today, and what we are going to be doing is doing a dramatic make over on Tam. Now her eyes are basically done, but now what I want to do is take a step back, and I see what does she need to give her a little bit more umph, a little bit more power. I'm going to go, I found this black, and this particular one is from Lancome, it is called the “new black,” and if you can tell, it's got little sparkles and a little shimmer in it, and it is really pretty. It is not just a flat black, like maybe her shirt; it's got a little sparkle to it. It is a pretty one. Take a small brush, because what I want to do is to do some detail work. So I just want to put a little bit in her corner, and then I show you the difference between both eyes once you add a little black. Okay open. The black immediately gives some depth to the eyes. Look up...and I'm going to put a little bit in this corner. Same thing what we did earlier. I'm not blending it. I'm applying my little color where I want to be close. Just trying to give her a little bit more smoky, sexy look. Clean this brush. Take the black off of it, and now I'm going to slightly blend it out. This is just a finishing touch. You don't have to add the black, but if is not just quite there, it is not quite the drama that you wanted, or you are just missing something you don't know what it is... look up... then add a little bit more black in the corners.
