I think that this video is the best to learn how to play the banjo that I have ever seen, Within ten minutes I was playing the Beverley Hillbillies theme using the Earl Scruggs roll, FANTASTIC!!!

Incorporating Rolls Into Banjo Music
Hi I’m Fred for ExpertVillage.com and in our final segment we’re going to talk about incorporating the various banjo rolls into our music. Your best bet is to listen closely to bluegrass cds, even slowing them down if you have to ability to do that and figure out where the rolls are going to be incorporated into the song. You’ll find that often you’ll have to improvise to blend from one roll to the next. You’ll also find that timing is ultra important, so buy an inexpensive metronome and always play with it or with a guitarist that has good timing. Thanks for joining us on Banjo for Beginners.
