Scribing with a Hand Held Power Planer

Rob McMahon for Expert Village. If you are scribing a baseboard to a floor, a power planer can come in very useful too. I’ve got a pencil line here that matches the floor, so take the power planer and follow that line. I don’t want to have a quite full depth here. One thing you want to pay attention to is where the blade is in relation to the line. Now you can use the front of the planer as a pivot point. In case you go in too deep, you can pull up away from it. Let’s come from this end again. That should be pretty close to the floor.
