Parts of a Hand Held Power Planer

Rob McMahon for Expert Village. Let’s talk a little about the anatomy of the power planer. Here you have a cylinder that rotates. The blade is right here. This particular model only has one blade; some have up to three. This is a dust ejection port which you can switch depending on which side you are on; it will come out one or the other. The trigger, the trigger hold button and the depth adjustment.
