Ordering of Multiple Filters in Final Cut Pro 5

Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this video I will just finish up talking about applying multiple filters to one or more clips. So again to apply filters in clips, multiple filters, you can do it a few different ways. You just do one at a time where you just drag it down into your sequence. Okay drag down into the sequence and then drag down into the sequence. You know if you select, yeah, there we go, select multiple clips, you can drag it down and it will drop it into both clips at the same time. I am just going to undo some of that here. Ooh, it's a lot of filters. You can also just select a filter in the effects tab here and just go ahead and copy it; Apple C or command C to copy it. Just come over here to the viewer with the filter tab selected and just control Apple V which is paste or command V. So you can see I just kind of quickly pasted that and you can copy filters from another clip. Let's say this clip has a sweet filter as a ponderable. I made some changes to it and I want to keep it. I just go ahead and command C that; wow, it's getting really bad now. Command C for copy. You just go ahead and copy that and then you can come over to the other ones, filters area and go ahead and paste it or I can even open up the separate clip here and I can just click drag that effect right into the other clip down here in the time line. What's really nice is you can apply all this to multiple clips. So let's say I select just 3 clips here; they are a little spread out, whatever. I can just click drag and boom it will apply to every single one of those. So make sure to utilize the multiple clips here; the multiple click selection when you are adding in your effects. You can also if you want to just like quick drag a group of them in the browser here and as you notice while I drag, you can see; let me bring it up here so you can see it better, there we go. It shows you this little plus 7 in the box here that is telling me hey, you've got 7 filters you are moving. Okay, go ahead and just drop it and now the clip has 7 filters. While I stop this video and undo this, you can sit back and relax.
