Greetings again Aaron. I think this video has a similar problem, it only follows the transcript for the first 20 secs and then ends prematurely. Thanks again.

Various Harmonic Tunings for Guitar

Hey there! My name is Aaron Moon and I am here today on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today I am discussing the steel string acoustic guitar. Now previously I went over how to tune your steel string guitar with the help of a piano and your ear. I demonstrated that by applying pressure to the string on the fret board. Now I am going to go over how to tune a guitar using harmonics. Harmonics are basically just vibrations of the string without applying pressure directly on the string so it touches the fret board. You are just lightly pressing on the surface of the string; that’s it. You hear that is a different quality of a sound. It’s lighter; it resonates a little better. So for this tuning technique, we are going to need a starting point. Right now this guitar is not in tune. So now that we know the names of the strings, we need to start with our low E which is right there. So before we were going up five frets and then applying pressure on the fret board to the strings. This is similar except we are not going to be pressing down on the strings. Just going to be lightly and maybe this will give you a better idea. You are just lightly pressing on the string but not so it touches the metal or the wood; just so you are touching the string, like that. Now the idea is to match up this tone on the fifth fret with the A’s string tone on the seventh fret with a harmonic.
