Hi! This is CJ South representing expertvillage.com, in this clip I’m going to show you how to set and delete markers in a clip. So now let’s set some markers inside of clips, we know we can set markers in a timeline like I’m doing right now, I just set a marker but now what about inside of a clip? Well how do you do that? Well you select a clip and wherever your play head is at you’ll then add a marker inside of the clip, it’s not with the timeline it’s now in the clip, yes well why would you want to do that? Well if you’re setting a marker on just the timeline for a specific part of a clip like say okay I’m going to cut this clip here so I’m going to put a marker on my timeline, well if you move that clip your timeline marker doesn’t go with it but your clip marker does move with it, so that would be the advantage of putting it into a clip instead of a timeline and again you can play and just add markers, it’s no problem as many as you want. So when a clip is selected you’ll add a marker to that clip, when there’s no clips selected you add markers to the timeline, now what if you want to delete markers? Well the easiest way is the quick keys and the quick keys for deleting a single marker is apple tilda or the apple dash, it’s the same key but the tilda, alright so you can do it again tilda, apple tilda, now if you want to delete a clip marker you have to select the clip and then go through the markers and then you can delete them one by one, if you want to delete all the markers just hold control tilda and that will delete all the markers in your clip now and if you wanted to delete all the markers in the timeline just make sure that there’s no clip selected and then apple tilda again and now they’re all gone.
