Hi this is CJ South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I'm just going to finish up explaining about the batch capture feature in final cut pro. So you are going to click capture batch. Once you click that its going to go through. Hold on sec; there we go. Alright this window comes up here, and then you have a couple of options. Really the only thing that is really important that you need to take note of is this top one that says capture. This has three different settings to it. The default setting is selected items in logging bin. Now if you look to the left, well only one of our clips are selected. So that is no good. So you want to change it to offline items in logging bin. So now it will log in all these offline clips. Then the capture preset, it is just basically trying to confirm what you will have normally set up anyways, what to capture as; so it is fine, you can just leave that. And then you hit okay and then insert reel comes up. Now this is where its really really important that you named your tape, you have named the reel, because if they are all just 001, this is going to be super confusing. If you notice it has the name of the tape golf item 1, the duration, 4 clips and it is ready. Now if you logged clips from different tapes and didn't name the reel, then you are going to have about four of these in a row below each other, saying 001 with different duration, different clips, and you are going to have to cue which tape you need to insert. So right now it is asking for golf item 1, so you just go ahead put in golf item 1, or whatever tape it is if it is not already in the camera, and just click continue. And it is gonna go and just capture all four of these clips.
Great explanation and demonstration of information. I needed this. Thanks. New Orleans, LA
