How to Do the Forward Jazz Slide

I’m Kelly-Anne. On behalf of Expert Village, I’ll be demonstrating advanced jazz dancing techniques. A jazz slide; this is a floor work exercise. It’s basically, here. So what you’re going to do is however you bend down, like even if you do a spiral to the floor, you get one hand on the floor. It’s important to have one knee. Decide which leg you’re going to slide. I’m going to slide my left leg, so my foot is going to be behind. You push, hold a pose, lower the hip, and you’re going to extend the arm and slide even more. Okay, jazz slide. From here, obviously, you have styling things you can do. You also have spins. Like I just spun around, and to get up you come through fourth. One more time, a jazz slide could be, spiral down, hold the pose, push the hips up and slide, styling and spin. Tondue to come up. Thanks for viewing this segment about advanced jazz dancing. I’m Kelly-Anne. For more information, you can go to my website, 56dance.com.
