How to Barrel Turn in Jazz Dancing
I’m Kelly-Anne. On behalf of Expert Village, I’ll be demonstrating advanced jazz dancing techniques. A barrel turn is basically stepping back and stepping front. So you have right arm as you go left arm. The arms are the momentum and of course, springing up. There are several dance studios in you area that would be very happy to have you join their group classes. There are lots of choreographers who specialize in different types of jazz dancing. Just try them all out, see which one you like the best, and stick with that for a couple of years. You’ll be grooving just fine.
