Hi I'm David Cantieni on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to be sharing with you some useful techniques for practicing the Irish style flute. If you are playing Irish tunes or traditional tunes you'll probably be wanting to try to play some rather quick reels. This is what I came up with of course the secret in fast is in slow but, a interesting experiment is to go to your second sizer or you can use your regular metronome. But this is good one lets see if this right what I do is take the beat. I play that several times and that is what I would call half speed and then this is rather more tricky and you would probably would have to start over several times and I might also. After I have got in the groove doing it half time then I keep the same metronome setting and play it up to speed. You can try to get in there and play it a least several times before you stop.
