How to Tie a Clove Hitch Knot

Hi name is Dan and I'm here with Expert Village today to show you how to tie the clove hitch. The clove is a excellent way to tie a line in a very solid manner around a pole or a stake. There are two ways to tie it. One is to make two opposing loops cross them and put them over the top or your stake. That is the clove hitch. I would show you the other way to tight it if you can't get over the end of the line. For example if you need to tie on to a branch. Take a turn around your branch and cross over your existing turn, go under and through. That is method two on how to tie the clove hitch.
