How to Use the Rapid Fire & Safety Triggers on a Nail Gun
Rob McMahon with ExpertVillage. The trigger of your nail gun has two different types. There's one that will allow you a rapid fire which I will demonstrate here. Now, you can squeeze the trigger and shoot without releasing the trigger. Now, this is good if you're doing a lot of framing and you're an experienced carpenter because it makes it go a lot faster. There's also a safety trigger. There's an o-ring here that holds a pin that drives through here. And, your trigger is removed that easily. So, you can take the other trigger that the gun comes with, I don't have it nearby, but it goes back in the same fashion. And, you line up the holes. Stick your pin back in. And, keep your locking washer on there. Now, that trigger will only allow you to fire one shot at a time. If you're holding it tight, and you went to shoot again, it would not fire. So, if you weren't as experienced and say you were walking with the gun holding the trigger and you bumped it against your leg or anywhere else, it wouldn't fire a nail. That's an important thing to consider if you're a little less experienced.
