History of the Piñata
Hi, my name is Cindy Glover and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm going to talk about what a origin of the piñata. The origin of the piñata is Chinese used to celebrate spring and the first piñata were filled with seeds and small fruit wrapped in paper. Marco Polo learned in this custom in his travels in China and took in from China to Italy, France and Spain. Both the Italians and the French adapted this tradition and the Spanish took the custom to the new world when they conquered Mexico. The piñata became part of the Posada in the Catholic culture. In China the first piñatas were made to look like cows, oxen and buffaloes.
