How to do the Charlier One-Handed Cut Card Trick

Hi everybody Malik the magic guy for expertvillage.com. Now I just showed you how to do the charlier cut just like this. Now this this isn't a difficult flourish, but it is still important that you use some good quality cards. So I want to show you a few things. These are bicycle cards; they are plastic coated and they are in pretty good shape. As you handle cards in your hands, your hands are going to get a little moist, so that is going to prevent things from working a little bit, but that is the basic charlier cut. We are going to be doing a lot of flourishes and not a lot of regular card magic. This is a example of one of the novelty decks. This is made by Illusionist and this is a tally ho deck that is black and silver. These look kind of cool to do flourishes with. Actually take these off. These look kind of cool to do some flourishes with, and later on I'm going to teach you how to cut cards like this. Then I'm going to teach you how to do a fan. So using the cards that feel good and are in good condition is really going to help you a lot. This is another example of some plastic coated cards. These are the stud cards from Walgreen's. This is like their store brand and these are actually pretty good as well; you can do some nice flourishes with these. So the other key is practice hard and I'm going to show you some more.
