How to Check for a Brake Fluid Leak
Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will show you how to detect brake fluid leaks. When you are looking for brake fluid leaks, the first place you want to check is the piston for the caliper. A lot of times the seals in these pistons leak and it will leak break fluid. You also want to check any brake hoses or brake lines that go into the piston here, so I’ve got my break line that is going into my caliper piston. A lot of times these brake hoses crack. If when you take a look at your caliper piston there is any type of moisture or looks like water or wetness on your caliper that is a good indication that there is brake fluid leaking.
