How to Check Brake Fluid Level
Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will show you how to check your brake fluid level. Your brake fluid is located in the master cylinder. On this vehicle, it happens to be towards the driver’s side of the car, towards the back of the engine. This master cylinder is quite dirty so the first thing I am going to do is take a rag and wipe it off so that when I open it there is less of a chance that I get any dirt or debris inside of the master cylinder. As I open up the master cylinder, there is liquid inside of it which is your brake fluid. Now on the lid of our master cylinder here, it says use only .3 brake fluid. If you are adding brake fluid, you want to make sure that you follow exactly what it says or it may damage your system. You want your brake fluid to be filled up pretty much as full as it can go. There may be a line on it that says full or you can just top it off. This one looks pretty good.
