Setting Up a Pro Tools Time Scale

Now setting up the main time scales is very important so you can work with your track within the right time. If you look at the grid at the very top this is going to help you find out the divisions within each bar and things like that. It's going to show you how your bars are going to be separated so that when you grab them, you know, it's going to show you where you can move and it's going to show like 1/4 notes, things like that. This is great so if you want to grab a snare or a 1/4 note or a 1/16 note out of drum move or something like that. As long as it's on point you're going to grab that one beat. It's going to be a perfect beat as long as your your tempo is right. So I want to move this tempo back, make sure this is on point. So if I just grab maybe this one, it's going to grab that just that one loop and what that one hit. This is very important so you can rearrange tracks and add different snares and kicks in other spots that they might not be in.
