Hi I'm David Cantieni and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to be showing you the many aspects of playing the Irish wooden flute. If you are interested in more information or finding out other places where you may find me you can go to www.digdigmusic.com or you could email me at digdig@cracker.com. Many instruments are more obviously rhythmic then the flute though the Irish flute I like to think off as a sort of drum because you are actually slapping your fingers down if you are putting your fingers down it actually makes a sound. Perhaps you could hear this. So when you are playing you are actually drumming on your instrument. When you are lifting your fingers that is not happening but still lifting your fingers rhythmic makes a lot of difference. I will show you. That was a real called Sally Garden and I will also show you how to play a jig and this one in particular is good illustration of just using your fingers as a rhythm instruments. This would be called Will You Come Home With Me.
