Stripping Wood With a Power Sander

I'm Rob McManhon with Expert Village. Now we are going o use a belt sander to strip a piece of wood fast. Now this is just primer on this board here. If it was built up with a lot of paint the thing to do to get off quickly would be to diagonal from the grain and just move back and forth and that is going to tier that paint right off that surface. That is a little extreme for primer. We are just going to stay with the grain and get this primer off. You are trying to save time doing this so you would use a heavy grit paper. This is 80 that is in there right now. You would put some weight on into it. Not so much to make divides just enough to get the paint of quickly. There we are all the paint is remove and you can see that we have some rough grooves in there but it was worth it to the speed that it took to do it.
