Professional Environmental Building Tips
It’s always good to consult someone that’s done straw bale before just so they can give you all their little tips. Every time somebody builds a straw bale house, we all learn something new. So getting information from someone that has actually done it is extremely useful. One thing you want to be sure not to do is when you’re drawing your plans for your home is to not plan any electrical or plumbing in the pathways of where your rebar is going to be put in and your bales are going to sit. And I will show you later where we’re going to trench and make spots for electrical to be and plumbing to be in your bales. It’s especially optimal to not put any of your plumbing in your bale walls in case of leakage or anything. So we’re going- mention that you need to really have your architect planned, to have your architect plan to draw most of your plumbing and electrical on your interior walls which could be wood-framed if you wanted them to be, which would save you the hassles and worries of your straw ever getting wet.
