Restaurant Revenue & Daily Specials

Here at Rib City Grill, we describe the entree of the day also because we want to gear them towards that special that we have a daily. We have seven specials every day, so at the beginning we have our host, when they seat the customer, they tell them their name, thanks for coming to Rib City, they tell them the name of the server, and then they also describe the special of the day. Now they don't describe it as well as the server, but at least the customer is hearing the special of the day twice. So, why it's important to describe the special of the day is because most customers, when they come to the restaurant, do not know what they want to eat. Just like when you identify the leader buyer, you're helping that customer to buy something that you want them to at the restaurant. So what we do is we describe our baby back ribs, succulent baby back ribs. You need to use identifying words. Our sweet sauce, piled high, tastes great, you can share it. We try to describe it to the customer and talk them into buying our special.
