Bake Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Helen McMahon, here for Expert Village. The baking powder and the baking soda that we put in are the leveling agents so they will rise up a bit and spread out on the pan but you can do these in any size you like. If they are small ones for a party and you are going to put them on a platter, they can be this size or if you want the very large ones, you can do that with a larger spoonful and then of course, you are not going to put so many on your pan; you’re going to keep them with a larger space in between. Now one thing you have to keep in mind is if you are going to do 2 different sizes on your pan, then you want to be sure that you check your pan because the ones that are smaller are going to cook faster, so you might want to take them out a little bit earlier. This guy looks like he needs some more and I think this fellow is lacking too. We will put another row of sort of in between size in here and they will go into the oven that has been heated to about 350 degrees and they will bake for about 10 to 12 minutes. I’m going to set my timer for about 10 minutes because I think these will cook very very quickly, so there they are, ready to go into your hot oven.
