Drop Spoonfuls of Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Dough on Baking Sheet

Helen McMahon, here for Expert Village. We are now ready to drop our cookie dough by spoonfuls onto a nice baking pan. This is one that is particularly good for baking cookies because it is thick enough and there is a layer of air between the 2 layers; it’s actually 2 double thicknesses so that the cookies do not burn on the bottom. Here is good thing to use for your lubricating the pan. It just needs a little bit of margarine or butter. I just use the wrapper that the butter came in and just give a quick going over. You don’t need a lot of butter; just to make it a little easier to come out of the pan or you can give a light spraying which would do the job just as well. It depends on what size cookie that you want whether you are going to use just teaspoons and we can try some of those. Try to keep the size uniformed so that they will cook at the same temperature and you want to space them a little bit apart so that they don’t run into one another. If you find that looking over the cookies that you have put out, one looks like it needs a little more batter, just add it to it.
