Hi! My name is Dan, and I’m here with Expert Village today to talk about how to tie a constrictor knot, which is very useful for tying pens on the clipboards, tying one rope to another rope. However once it’s been tightened, it’s very hard to untie, so it’s best tied with cheap rope that you won’t mind cutting if you have to remove the rope. In order to tie it, you’re going to tie a loop or make a loop, come across over and come around go underneath your crossing, pull both ends. Either way that you pull it will help tighten it. So this is a constrictor knot, and I will tie it one more time…so take one turn on whatever you’re tying on, cross over, come up and then go under the cross piece, pull both sides. There you go a constrictor knot.
