Hi! My name is Dan, and I’m here with Expert Village. Today we’re going to talk about how to tie a slippery hitch, which is a very basic knot and is typically used in conjunction with other knots. It starts out simple by making a loop in your piece of rope, and then you just take a bite, which is a bend in your rope, and feed it through that loop. It’s very similar to the overhand knot, except that when you pull the bitter end, or the tail, it pops out. It’s a good knot to use when you want to bundle something together, but strength of the knot isn’t going to be an issue. So, feed through the end of my loop, make my loop and feed the bite through. If I wanted to untie it, you just pull on the end. We can do this one more time…
