Learning to Spin in Ice Skating
Hello my name is Dmitri Olympiev and I teach at Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. Now the next thing I’m going to show you will teach us how to spin on the ice. Spinning can be pretty fun. I’m going to bring my left arm in front and right arm in the back, these arms are going to spin me. I’m going to keep my feet together, swing. Always keep your arms tucked in tight when you’re spinning and they really have to be very powerful in the beginning. Now as much as it is fun, it can be dangerous too. Never lean back when you’re spinning, always lean your body slightly forward. And keep your back very strong too. We’ll be right back.
