Hi! My name is Yvette Parish, and thank you for visiting expertvillage.com. I am here at Cynergy Dance Studio in San Antonio, Texas with my beautiful model Kerry. We’re going to be talking about moisturizers for different skin types, doing a beautiful makeover on her, discussing eyelashes, the different eyelash curlers, and proper eyebrow placement in the makeup. I’m going to be applying her eyeliner now, and I’m using a dark color. You have a couple of choices with your eyeliner. You can use a pencil, which will give it a nice smooth line; it’s quick and easy. Everyone’s seen a pencil. You can take your brush and you can grab some color on your brush and apply it from the brush here. There’s a lot of different ways, but since this is natural look, what I’m going to do is take a dark pencil and brush and I’m going to apply it on her upper lid. If you see, I’m slightly lifting up her lid to get super, super close to the lashes. The closer you get to the lashes the more natural it looks and it actually opens up your eyes and makes your lashes look thicker. So, if you spend just a little extra time on your eyeliner, it’s make a big difference. I’m going to take that same style of applying it and I’m going to apply it to her lower lashes. Any time you use a brush you have much more control over your makeup. If you have a big pencil and you’re trying to apply it, now it really depends how sharp it is, how close you can get into the eye. I find that with a brush you really have more control. You can apply it as light or as dark as you want, and I’m going to apply it very, very close to her lashes. I’m kind of lifting up her lid just to get in there. This is a soft black color, which is looking like a dark brown on. Okay, open….alright, look up at the ceiling. So, now I’m going to go ahead and add a little bit more in her corners, just so that she has a little bit of a smoky look on the sides. Sometimes if you’re blonde and you’re very fair, you can kind of lose your eyelashes and your eyebrows in it because everything is so fair. That’s why it’s very important to fill in your eyebrows, and very important to use a dark enough eyeliner. If you’re using a too light eyeliner, you’re not going to do anything for your eyes. Look up.
